I've just finished "Magician" by Raymond E. Feist (read by Peter Joyce) on xigxag
https://links.xigxag.co.uk/127d. I read the physical book (and then all of the Riftwar Saga series) some 40 years ago! I'm enjoying it just as much this time round...even as a reminder that gender stereotypes haven't changed as much as I had hoped they might way back then! Great action, world- building and a wide range of well developed characters.

Brilliant simple Brilliant. I didn't know what to expect when I started this tale. But like all great works of wonder it grow in the telling.
Lord of the Rings
Game of Thrones
This is definitely the next in line. It's a must read/listen to for anyone who enjoys a tale of far off lands of another place and time.

I have been listening to long Saga's and went to this one expecting the same. Although in the end I enjoyed this first episode the first few chapters were slow and disappointing. Too many characters and names being introduced all at once for me. I will now listen to the next two in the series but am hopeful that they will move a little quicker.
