Very interesting. I appreciate the authors boldness in speaking directly and unfiltered about the issues, fears and patters related to sex in relationships and not beating around the bush. It makes realistic dilemmas more comprehensive. The only thing I miss, is that I wish the book had been more elaborate on practical ways to resolve these issues, it mentions examples from couples and some generalizations that are most helpful as thinking exercises. But I am left with a sense of 'interesting and eye opening - but how am I supposed to apply this for my own personal relationship?' Either way a worthwhile read.

Very well argued points on a complex question. The author reads the book well. The book is not yet another self help book. It questions a lot of the assumptions and contradictions around sex in Western society in a thoughtful, undogmatic way. It's not abstract or purely theoretical though. The observations are made based on experience as a practicing therapist and being a close observer of people. I found it helpful to listen to relatable examples from peoples' lives.
