What to expect
Hotel clerk Abby Medford has always enjoyed the quiet solitude of the night shift. The long, boring hours allow her time to study her law books. But when bad-boy-rocker Lucas Ford checks into the penthouse suite one night and demands Abby personally deliver his room service request, her formerly quiet nights are quickly filled with Lucas’ erotic games.
But as Abby soon learns, if she thinks she can indulge her innermost desires with Lucas without giving him her heart, she’s dead wrong.
Critics Review
-
“Rowe adds a rousing sixth entry to the Misadventures series. The central characters are fully developed and express the vulnerability just underneath their tough exteriors. Readers will enjoy this intimate portrait, both sexual and emotional, of the protagonists’ relationship…Please note that Rowe uses strong language throughout the novel and there is one M/F/M scene incorporated into the numerous erotic love scenes. Misadventures on the Night Shift will win readers over with its charming characters, sharp dialogue, and fast pace.”
RT Book Reviews (4 stars)
-
“Rowe’s vibrant writing is compulsively readable. Readers will applaud Abby’s snappy retorts and refusal to enable Lucas’ entitled nature while rooting for the pair to evolve into a hot, happy partnership. Verdict: A slightly wacky premise that hits the mark with plenty of sensual sparring.”
