What to expect
Everyone on this train is guilty…
When ex-detective Midge McGowan embarks on a sleeper train to the snowy highlands of Scotland, she's hoping for a relaxing holiday. Instead, she finds herself trapped in a nightmare.
The last carriage of the train is rumoured to be haunted by a mysterious figure. One of the passengers is a prisoner on release from jail, who won't speak to anyone and spends most of his time in his cabin. And when a guest is found dead, lying inside a locked carriage with no obvious injuries, Midge has a mystery to solve.
Could this be the work of a ghost? Or has someone just pulled off the perfect murder? Midge is going to have to stay alive long enough to find out…
'The characters leap off the page... and the spooky mystery will keep you guessing.' Antony Johnston, author of Can You Solve the Murder?
'I was thrilled, beguiled and completely captured by this cracking whodunnit.' - Jonathan Whitelaw, author of The Bingo Hall Detectives

A delightfully engaging debut, starring one of the most amusing and unusual sleuths I’ve come across. Best enjoyed with a nice glass of sherry!

A delightful debut! The characters leap off the page, especially the perpetually misunderstood detective Midge, and the spooky mystery will keep you guessing.

Quirky and fun that also strays into the eerie. I was thrilled, beguiled and completely captured by this cracking whodunnit.
