Outback Secrets

Synopsis

When Irish photographer Finn O'Sullivan steps off the dusty road and into Garnet Creek, he's hoping the red dirt and wide horizons of the Australian outback will swallow him whole. Back home in Dublin, his name is tabloid poison. The scandal that destroyed his career was built on a lie - but the truth doesn't sell papers, and no one wanted to hear it. Stripped of his reputation, his work, and the future he'd spent a decade building, Finn has come to the other side of the world for one thing: to disappear. Garnet Creek has other ideas. Librarian Melanie Doherty recognises Finn the moment he walks through her door - and the colour drains from her face before she can stop it. Her reaction is immediate, complicated, and entirely her own business. She has a quiet life here. A safe one. A five-year-old son who is her whole world. The last thing she needs is a man with cameras, headlines, and shadows trailing behind him. When Finn begins his library research for two local projects, Melanie tries to stay aloof, but she can't ignore the growing connection between them - or how wonderful Finn is with her five-year-old son. As Garnet Creek rallies around them both, Finn and Melanie must decide: keep running from the past or stand and fight for the love and family they never expected to find. Because sometimes the biggest secret is what you're afraid to reach for.
