In Pale Rider, Laura Spinney recounts the story of an overlooked pandemic, tracing it from Alaska to Brazil, from Persia to Spain, and from South Africa to Odessa. If you want a better understanding of the 1918 pandemic this is well worth a listen. It also gives an insight into the most recent pandemic. It gives a very human insight into the impact on the lives of communities and individuals around the globe.
The vast amount of information contained in this book means I will be listening too it again.
