People Are the Wealth

Synopsis

We were created for more―more than mere flourishing, more than our self-improvement projects, more than our accomplishments. God created us to be connected and rooted in community. In this book, Christian Mungai presents an African vision for what Christian living is. He explores a biblical concept that is often overlooked in our results-oriented Western society: that the people around us―from our kids to our parents, from our friends to our church community―are our true wealth. It is when we focus on people first through relationship building that God works in incredible ways. Christian Mungai is part of the team that developed the influential Rooted curriculum based on how Christian's home church in Nairobi, Kenya, was mentoring and discipling people. In this book, Christian dives into the biblical and discipleship concepts behind that curriculum, which should ground every believer's life and outreach.
