What to expect
A senior retirement home, a few missing keepsakes . . . and a case that's anything but simple.
When Isabel Steinway reports that beloved items have disappeared from her apartment at Shady Acres, Sue and Alan Jaworski expect a straightforward case—just a few misplaced mementos. But as more residents come forward with similar stories, it becomes clear that something larger is unfolding.
Now running the SAJ Detective Agency, Sue and Alan begin their investigation. While Alan follows the formal leads, Sue's conversations with residents uncover quiet tensions, old grudges, and hidden connections that point to more than simple theft.
As light mischief gives way to troubling behavior, Sue must act quickly to restore peace before the close-knit community at Shady Acres is shaken for good.
The eighth book in the Aspen Notch Mystery series, Shenanigans at Shady Acres is a heartfelt cozy mystery with endearing characters, a gentle pace, and a classic whodunit at its core. Perfect for fans of Murder, She Wrote, Betty Rowlands, and the timeless charm of Nancy Drew.
