What a fun read! God I wish I could’ve got the most out of this book when I was actually the target age - my teenage self would have been so obsessed! All of the fantasy-style court intrigue, in SPACE?! And a queer love story that might’ve taught her she could actually connect to romantic plots? (She was so sick of the typical YA story of straight girl falls for broody bad boy!)
The narration was excellent! The character voices perfectly struck that balance where they were all distinctive without sounding cartoonish. I often struggle with sci-fi and fantasy audiobooks if there are a lot of world-building details and new words/names to learn, but this one translated really well to the audio medium!eleanorf 2024-02-06
