Undiagnosed ADHD affected my executive functioning so much I lost my ability to read for pleasure (or at all) without assistive tech. This book grabbed my attention in a second hand book shop, and I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!! I got the audiobook to remind me what happened in the previous chapters. I'm not surprised by much, but some of the characters were so vile, or so pure, that I paid twice to see their journey through. Please use caution if you are religious, it has the word "subversive" on the cover for a reason. The writer is fantastic, the narrators do a great job, especially considering they have a few characters/accents to cover to make it come to life. You'll hate Minguilo and not want to listen to his crap, but that's the point. Getting a burst out neurodivergent to read again is one of the best compliments an author can get in my eyes. Give it a go.
