The Dark Artifact

Synopsis

Some magic is too dangerous to be wielded. Some power should never be awakened. When a high-security vault in Austin is breached, and a dangerous magical artifact is stolen, Federal Arcane Enforcer Izzie Berens is pulled into a deadly chase through the city's black-market underworld. The artifact isn't just any relic—it's a weapon capable of shifting the balance of power in the magical world, and every crime lord, dark mage, and supernatural syndicate wants to claim it for themselves. With her partner Evie at her side, Izzie infiltrates a hidden auction house where the artifact is set to be sold. But outbidding ruthless magical crime lords is the easy part—escaping with the artifact is another story. When they are ambushed by an unknown faction, Izzie realizes this heist is just the beginning of a much larger and deadlier plan.As the artifact begins to awaken, unleashing chaotic energy and amplifying dark magic, Izzie must race against time to contain its power before it consumes her—and the entire city. But the deeper she digs, the clearer it becomes: this theft wasn't random. An ancient force is stirring, and the artifact may be the key to unlocking something far worse.
