Yet I perservered, because I spent money on it.
The plot was not terrible. Predictable, yes. The ending was a bit of a let-down as you only find out what happened afterwards, because Isadora isn't even there. But the whole thing just seems so amateur.
However, the number one worst thing about this book was the narrator. So much vocal fry! She tried to do different voices for each character, but ended up with a far too nonchalant Freya among other sins. The only emotion that ever crept into her voice was pathetic desperation. If it had been my book and I'd hired her, I would have been horrified at the result.
