It was actually Joe Tweedale the narrator that recommended this audiobook to me and I'm really grateful. I'm currently recovering from cataract surgery and believe me, the company of an excellent audiobook really helps. I treated myself to a copy of The House of Water. It was quite unlike any of my normal reads. I normally enjoy whodunnits and historic fiction. It was interesting to follow a whodunnit not from the detective's point of view but from a surviving relative (?) It did leave me with a burning question though. At the end, Iona flew off to America with her mother. What name was on her passport? Geat story, great characters, great setting.
