A good book, presents the christian view on marriage very well. I would say the main message of the idea is to have a marriage reflecting the relationship between the figures in the trinity: particularly father and son) and pursue love with the intention and drive to help your partner grow their God-given spark, rather than to boost your own ambitions or ego.
