What to expect
They took their wedding vows.
Now they're taking lives.
Rose Cromwell, is a mother of two, grandmother to four and has just celebrated her thirty-fifth wedding anniversary to husband Mike.
An ordinary, enviable marriage... until the night that Rose wakes up to see Mike stabbed to death in their marital bed, and the murder weapon in her hand.
Close by, Divya Sharma is happily planning a lavish meal for her devoted husband, Karthik. But their special night ends in horror when she butchers him to death with the meat cleaver she used to lovingly prepare his meal.
Two perfect marriages, cut short by unimaginable bloodshed, pull Detective Mumtaz 'Moomy' Ali of the Met Special Crime Unit and DCI Sarah Heaton into a perplexing investigation with no clues to follow.
As Mumtaz circles closer to the heart of the case, she finds a connection that might be responsible for turning these gentle, loving wives into brutal murderers. But exposing the truth brings Moomy into the sights of some powerful people who will stop at nothing to stay in the shadows. Can she solve the case, without becoming the next victim on the list?
A fast-paced, heart-racing, dark and sinister mystery novel, set in London. Fans of M.W. Craven, Ajay Chowdhury and M.J Arlidge will be hooked.
Alex Khan has spent over a decade working in Information Systems Security for a number of government organisations, and is currently specialising in Terrorism Studies. A lifetime passion for writing was sparked by the encouraging words of an English Teacher in school, and eventually led to Alex successfully completing an MA in Creative Writing.
Monica Sagar has just started her narrator career with seven audiobooks. She has most narrated crime and literary fiction in particular Dur E Aziz Amna’s American Fever. When she is not narrating she is acting and you may recognise her from her stint in Coronation Street.
