What to expect
From the New York Times-bestselling author of The Atlas Six comes Twelfth Knight, a grumpy/sunshine YA romantic comedy and coming of age story. Featuring gorgeous inside cover artwork.
Viola and Jack do not get along.
Popular Jack Orsino is the worst Student Body President Viola Reyes has ever seen, and his lackadaisical attitude is just one more thing on Vi’s long list of things to be annoyed about.
Her only escape? The online role-playing game Twelfth Knight – where she creates a masculine alter-ego in order to be taken seriously in the gaming world.
When a football injury leads Jack to start playing Twelfth Knight too, their two worlds are set to collide. And as it becomes increasingly difficult for Vi to hide her true identity, Jack might just be falling for her offline . . .
‘What a joy this book was, I found myself literally kicking my feet and screaming’ - Faridah àbíké-íyímídé - The New York times-bestselling author of Ace of Spades
Alexene Farol Follmuth is the globally bestselling author of The Atlas Six, under her adult pseudonym Olivie Blake.
Critics Review
-
Alexene Farol Follmuth(...) beautifully reimagines a classic tale for the modern moment with tremendous wit, effortless grace, and laugh out loud jokes. (...)There is heart and humor here that exemplifies the very best of romance and comedy.
Arya Shahi, author of An Impossible Thing to Say
-
A love letter to fandom and gaming culture. Twelfth Knight is a charming read which doesn't shy away from examining the fraught relationship between fandom, gaming, and misogyny. Vi and Jack encapsulate the perfect enemies-to-lovers romance; opposites in every way but sizzling with chemistry.
Adiba Jaigirdar, author of The Henna Wars, A Million to One
-
Twelfth Knight is a smart, fresh and heart-warming romcom that any reader will enjoy!
Nick Brooks, author of Promise Boys
-
Twelfth Knight is a firecracker of a novel, taking a well-beloved Shakespearean classic, gutting out its heart, and forming a fresh, compulsively readable story that is reminiscent of the best of the 90’s movie teen cult classics. With charming nods to Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night and a captivating heroine who always stands her ground, Alexene Farol Follmuth has composed an irresistible and heartwarming novel in Twelfth Knight.
Faridah Abike-Iyimide, author of Ace of Spades and Where Sleeping Girls Lie
