Where Home Lies

Synopsis

Pain is better served from those who haven’t witnessed your struggle. Those who haven’t been the ones to pick you up every time you fall. What happens when the turmoil comes from the very person you trusted with every part of you? Who will pick you up then? Beyah and Vante were always a pair … until they weren’t. She chose to further her career and leave home. He chose to stay, too afraid to leave everything he ever knew. Beyah is unaware that their long distance isn’t working as well as she thought. A surprise visit home and she’s faced with all she has missed. Him, his new girlfriend, and the child he has on the way. In six months a lot could change, but she had been unaware. Now she’s faced with heartbreak and anger. She feels the blues, attempting to heal herself when she finds herself in the sights of HIM.  He is none other than the bottom’s god. Dimitri is quiet, guarded, and minds his business until he walks into his sister’s boutique and spots the sad beauty. They meet. Well … she’s in her head but he meets and is enthralled with her. She’s unlike any woman he’s encountered.  There’s only one problem with his new obsession. His live-in girlfriend he’s been with for years. More of a situationship than a relationship. Will what’s found on a whim be enough to get her past that heartache? Or will falling for the bottom’s god cause more heartache on top of what she’s already reeling from?
