What to expect
One woman is afraid of her future
Maggie Carter knows every inch of Victoria Park-the scents, the seasons, the paths that lead her to the quiet bench by the lake. It's the only place she feels safe. Because outside the park, with her first baby on the way, Maggie is terrified she won't be enough. She's losing her confidence, her footing, and-slowly-herself.
One woman is haunted by her past
Elsa is also expecting her first child, but she faces motherhood alone. Old wounds and secrets from sixty years ago claw at her, filling her with a fear she can't outrun. She is convinced her baby will be taken from her... and the past refuses to let her breathe.
A friendship that can change everything
When Maggie and Elsa meet by chance on a park bench, something shifts. Strangers at first, they begin sharing the fears they've hidden from everyone else, the hopes, the shame, the heartbreak. Through their conversations, they may finally see themselves clearly... and discover that healing often begins with being truly seen.
But can they help each other in time, before fear, memory, and circumstance pull them under?
