I enjoyed this with its engaging characters and genuine mystery but found the plot - based in art theft and corruption originating in the times of Mussolini - a little dry. But it has a philosophical message, as in its title, depicting the lengths to which some people will go to believe what they want to, despite evidence to the contrary. It ends on this note which, with its contemporary relevance, I found rather depressing. I will listen to more from this author though.
