Mollie Panter-Downes

Mollie Panter-Downes (1906–1997) was a British author and journalist who wrote for The New Yorker throughout the Second World War. Her wartime dispatches and fiction are among the finest accounts of life in Britain during the Blitz. Good Evening, Mrs. Craven is a collection of her short stories. Panter-Downes's audiobooks offer listeners elegant, beautifully observed fiction that captures the texture of everyday life during wartime with quiet brilliance.
