Robert Goldsborough

Robert Goldsborough is an American author best known for continuing Rex Stout's beloved Nero Wolfe mystery series. Born in 1937, Goldsborough worked as a journalist and editor for the Chicago Tribune and Advertising Age before turning to fiction. When Rex Stout died in 1975, fans mourned the loss of new Nero Wolfe stories — until Goldsborough stepped in with the blessing of Stout's estate, beginning with Murder in E Minor in 1986. Goldsborough has written numerous Nero Wolfe novels, faithfully capturing the dynamic between the brilliant, orchid-loving detective and his quick-witted assistant Archie Goodwin. His mysteries maintain the wit, intricate plotting and New York atmosphere that made Stout's originals so popular, while bringing fresh cases and contemporary touches to the series. Beyond the Wolfe novels, Goldsborough has also written the Snap Malek mystery series set in 1930s Chicago. His books and audiobooks are treasured by mystery fans who appreciate classic detective fiction with sharp dialogue and satisfying puzzles. For listeners and readers who love the golden age of detective fiction, Robert Goldsborough's work keeps one of the genre's greatest traditions alive.
