What to expect
From the best-loved author of Pages & Co comes the thrilling third book in the Chronicles of Whetherwhy series.
Twelve-year-old Aurora Green, known as Rory, enjoys a quiet life with her family on a small farm on the outskirts of Saltgate – until she discovers an ability to see through powerful enchantments, and finds herself at the heart of a brewing rebellion, thrust into a world of magic and danger.
Her discovery takes her to Downalong Cottage, a safe haven for young enchanters, and the heart of the rebellion. There she meets Beckett Gray, nephew of the renowned enchanter Juniper Quinn – and as Rory begins to learn about her newfound powers, and the Queen's Inspectors tighten their grip on Whetherwhy, the two children navigate the secrets of a hidden resistance which works to protect the island's ancient magic, and are forced to embark on a daring adventure to protect a new ally…
