Dakota Red

Synopsis

A vintage Dakota aircraft should be the perfect setting for a peaceful sightseeing flight. But when construction tycoon Birger Bergersen is discovered dead in his seat—killed by a nail gun to the head—private investigator Olivia Henriksen faces her most challenging case yet. Hired by the Dakota flying club, Olivia soon discovers that Bergersen had made enemies throughout Norway's construction industry. With nineteen passengers who all had motive and opportunity, the investigation takes her from belly dancing classes to sailing regattas as she uncovers a world of exploited workers and corrupt developers. But when Olivia stumbles into a massive social dumping operation, the case becomes deadly personal. Trapped by a killer who's already claimed one life, she must rely on her wits and a conveniently placed manure pit to survive. As she peels back layers of deceit in Norway's construction world, Olivia realises that some business empires are built on foundations of crime—and their owners will kill to protect them. The third book in the Island Mysteries series featuring the resourceful Olivia Henriksen.
