Synopsis
When Olivia Henriksen finds a man in an expensive suit hanging in the woods, the police call it suicide. But the bruises, scraped knuckles, and missing suicide note tell a different story. When her beloved neighbours are poisoned by the same deadly plant extract, Olivia knows there's a calculating murderer on peaceful Ankerholmen island. With the police suspecting her nephew, this unemployed fifty-something decides to solve the case herself. Armed with inherited opera glasses and fierce determination, Olivia embarks on her first case as an amateur detective. But on a small island where everyone knows everyone's secrets, she soon discovers that the most dangerous person might be someone she's trusted all along. A darkly humorous Nordic mystery introducing an unforgettable amateur detective ready to prove that life's greatest adventures can begin at any age.
