Firstly I loved the girl with all the gifts, a different take on the zombie theme, so I had high hopes for this. I wasn’t disappointed. Carey thinks carefully about his plots, and doesn’t leave holes like some authors, his characters are well written and you care about them, helped in no small part by the superb narration. Great audiobook, I’ve already purchased the other 2 parts of the trilogy.
