When Enrique’s experimental bioengineered creatures go missing, the pair discover that the zone still conceals deadly old secrets.
Critics Review
-
“Narrator Grover Gardner tells the continuing tales of the Vorkosigan clan…Gardner slips into the characters’ easy familiarity and banter as they try to unravel the mystery of the disappearance of the “rad bugs”—the bugs that are cleaning up the radioactivity in the exclusion zone, a legacy of war. Gardner is an engaged storyteller who maintains a lively pace and makes the most of Bujold’s sardonic humor. Fans of the series will especially enjoy this audiobook, although it can certainly stand alone. For new listeners, it offers a glimpse of why the series was awarded a Hugo Award in 2017.”
