I loved it. The Great British Bake Off meets And Then There Were None. As a story it has the perfect ingredients – secrets, ambitions, jealousies, redemptions – blended to perfection, with a murder so strong and compelling it was the cherry on the cake. Like any good recipe each character was sharp and distinctive, bringing a flavour all of their own
Any successful attempt at baking needs the right ingredients, precise timing and talent. The Golden Spoon has all that in ladles full. Great characters, a great plot, and like a spoon above a dessert, very difficult to put down
