Young Princess Irene lives a lonely life in a secluded house on the side of a wild mountain. Little does she know, everyone around her is keeping a secret: The princess can’t go outside after dark because the mountain is full of goblins who abhor the “Sun People” and want revenge on the princess and her King-Papa. When an outing accidentally keeps Irene and her nurse out after dark, the goblins set their cruel plan for the princess in motion. Curdie, a brave miner boy who knows the ways of the goblins, is determined to save Irene, and thwart the goblins plans. Irene, with the help of her magical and mysterious grandmother in the tower, will have to learn to believe in herself and trust in things unseen. Can she find the courage to follow her heart, and a magical string, to become the princess she is meant to be? Lewis and J.R.R Tolkien. “I write not for children, but for the child-like, whether they be of five or fifty or seventy five.” - George MacDonald.
