The escapist and gorgeously evocative new love story from Adriana Trigiani, author of instant New York Times bestseller The Good Left Undone
Lake Como, New Jersey: Jess Capodimonte Baratta is not living the life she dreamed of. Divorced and residing in her parents' basement, the most joy she finds in life is helping her Uncle Louie with his marble business. But when things take a turn in Louie's life, and family secrets come to light, Jess learns that her family made choices over the years--choices that stifled her dreams. Furious, and determined to start living, Jess heads off on an adventure--to her family's ancestral home.
In Italy, Jess begins to stand on her own two feet for the first time in her life. And that's before dreamy Angelo enters the picture. But just as Jess is finding happiness, she learns there is even more to her family story.
Will the hidden corners of Uncle Louie's past send Jess back to New Jersey? Or help her finally get to live life on her own terms.
