What to expect

"Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart."
Published in 1926, the stories collected in this first volume of stories featuring Winnie the Pooh— the charming, honey-loving bear of little brain—were written for A.A. Milne's son, Christopher Robin, whose toy animals were the basis for many of the characters and whose name is given to the young boy who also appears in these much loved tales.
Join Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Owl, Kanga and Roo in their whimsical adventures in the enchanting Hundred Acre Wood. Whether it's a daring rescue mission, a search for a missing tail, or a sunny picnic, A.A. Milne brings to life the magic of childhood and the strength of kindness and friendship in these timeless and heart-warming tales full of comic moments, silly poems and endearing characters.
Alan Alexander Milne (1882–1956) was an English author, playwright, and poet best known for creating the beloved children's stories of Winnie-the-Pooh. Milne wrote for Granta magazine before becoming a contributor and later assistant editor at Punch. Though he initially gained recognition as a playwright and humorist, his fame was cemented with the publication of Winnie-the-Pooh (1926) and The House at Pooh Corner (1928), inspired by his son Christopher Robin and his toys. Milne also served in World War I and the Home Guard during World War II. Despite his wide-ranging literary career, his legacy remains most strongly tied to the timeless tales of Pooh and his friends in the Hundred Acre Wood.
