Having read the first in the Fox Bay series, I couldn’t wait to read the sequel. It was great to meet up again with the amazing, well drawn characters from the first book and see what the future holds for them, especially the younger daughter, Fiona, who comes into her own in this story. The cast is also swelled by more fascinating characters in this intriguing saga that is full of twists and turns. As before, the author’s style is natural and well expressed, dialogue and characterisation spot on. Her descriptions of the Cornish countryside and seascape – and the weather – made me feel as if I was there. A brilliant read, and I can’t wait to find out what happens in book three.RoNA award-winning, bestselling novelist Tania Crosse
