What to expect
****
On the stunning island of Santa Catalina, California - the sun, sea, and sand hide secrets beneath the beauty...
A confidential informant tips off Detective Stilwell and his team that a major drug deal will occur under cover of darkness at a remote mountain airstrip.
But things go tragically wrong - with officers down and an unidentified shooter trying to escape the island...
In the fallout, Stilwell is forced on a break and kills time by clearing out the station's lost and found. A backpack was handed in two months ago, but the detective discovers that its owner has been missing for four years.
Solving the mystery will reach further than anyone imagines - and engages a killer starting a deadly game of cat-and-mouse...
From the author of the books behind #1 Amazon Prime series Bosch and Ballard, and #1 Netflix show The Lincoln Lawyer, comes a brand-new crime-thriller masterpiece.
